In the land of AI, thirty days is a very long time.
This spring, a cohort of women ran the 30-Day AI Confidence Challenge together. One specific thing a day. No jargon. No tech-bro nonsense. By Day 30 they had working agents, a brain-about-you on their laptops, and a properly different relationship with AI.
That chapter is done. What comes next moves at the speed AI actually moves: short sprints on specific things, free live webinars, and rooms you can walk into.
The way in is the same as it ever was. One email.
UK rules mean you'll get a one-click confirmation email first. Click it. You're in.
The challenge ran through May and June. More than 250 women signed up. Every day, a check-in form asked one question: how did today land? Here's what came back.
Really helped me get over the fear of how the bloody thing works, so that I can trust it.
Invaluable as I embark on my own consultancy business. It helped me think through the set-up, the infrastructure and the guardrails, and to be even more curious about what is possible with AI. Sent the link to my digital ladies community.
Thank you, this has been the kick up the backside I've been needing. I've encouraged my nearly-50 friends to do this challenge too.
Getting my head around Cowork, and how it isn't going to hijack my computer Terminator-style if I use it.
I was already using AI for prompts, but it's great to actually build tools, save my tone of voice, and set up strong foundations for the future.
Thank you for building and sharing the AI course, it's brilliant! It also made me realise that my usage of AI was very basic.
Since the challenge wrapped, the tools have shipped features we spent whole weeks teaching. That is not a reason to give up keeping up. It is a reason to change the shape of how we learn.
So instead of another 30-day round, here's what's running now:
Same mission. Same no-gatekeeping rule. Faster cycles.
“Terrified and fun in equal measure. Made my first app. I have recommended your 30 days to so many people.”
Daily check-in, June, 30-Day Challenge
I'm Nishma Patel-Robb. Speaker, adviser, host and founder of Switched ON, where I make sense of what's changing in AI for the people it's changing fastest around.
I am an AI enthusiast, not an AI expert. A deep level of knowledge and understanding of these tools, and a love of sharing what I find. 220+ tools tested. Every mistake going, made, so you don't have to make it first. I use AI every day to run my business and my actual life, and I show you what I've built as I build it.
I spent ten years at Google, working across brand, reputation, creativity and AI adoption. I led Digital Garage, the free digital skills programme that trained many thousands of people across the UK. 70% of them were women, without us ever targeting it that way. Watching what those skills did to those lives shaped me.
Switched On is the same instinct at work: when women are given the right tools and the right room, they do not just catch up. They go past.
The Weekly Spark is where everything lands first: the sessions, the sprints, the events, the things worth your time this week. Hit reply on any email and tell me what you're stuck on or what you want more of. I read them all.
Unsubscribe whenever. No spam, ever.
The rules are being rewritten.
This time, we hold the pen.
